Cookin’ Greens Giveaway!
posted by: Kia
If one of your New Year’s Resolutions is to eat healthier then Cookin’ Greens might be your new best friend! It’s a line of flash frozen green veggies by The Toby Brand™ that make adding green to your diet easy and tasty. It’s a great way to earn a green magnet on your Today I Ate A Rainbow chart! I’ll be the first person to say that eating fresh, local veggies is the best option BUT the frozen veggies in the Cookin’ Greens line are a close second! I love the fact that they go from farm to frozen in only 6 hours. They are double-washed, double blanched, chopped and quick-frozen making it a breeze to use in many different recipes. This quick process locks in the flavour and nutrients of the greens.

Now this is the kind of fast food I can get behind! Especially on those hectic days when you need to prepare a healthy meal in a hurry!
The Cookin’ Greens line includes:

- Chopped Spinach
- Chopped Rapini
- Chopped Kale
- and mixed blends such as “Designer’s Mix” and “Athlete’s Mix”
We used their Chopped Spinach in a vegetarian enchilada recipe. It was easy to use and the spinach had a lot of flavour which made the enchiladas taste even better! I just bought their Chopped Kale and am looking forward to trying it in our morning smoothies. In addition to tasting great, Cookin’ Greens has a lot of great recipes on their website along with a convenient store locator so you know where to pick some up!

A big part of healthy eating is planning, sometimes that planning includes being prepared for those days when you don’t have a lot of time to cook, that it’s nice to have a product like Cookin’ Greens ready and waiting in the freezer!
