Halloween…all that sugar is frightening!

Well it’s that time of year when we get to dress up and have some fun trick or treating! The only problem is – our kids get all that candy given to them! A bit of candy isn’t a big deal but if they eat too much of it too often all that sugar leads to a weakened immune system. At this time of year when all those flu and colds are making their rounds it’s really not the best time to be eating loads of sugar!! I’m all for the whole Halloween experience…I just know that it means that we need to pay extra attention to increasing the amount of fruits and veggies in our diet in order to combat all that sugar!

So just a friendly reminder that at this time, it’s especially important to ensure that your kids are eating rainbows…at least one a day!
