Hosting a Real Food Rainbow Event
Based on Jamie Oliver’s Real Food Day we put together a fun and easy way you can get your kids thinking about Real Food! We have put together ideas, information and fun activity sheets that you can download for free!
Small Family Event
Making a difference when it comes to food starts at home. By educating ourselves and our children we become part of the solution!

2. Five plates or bowls
3. Print out the Real Food Rainbow Passport (color or black and white)
4. Achievement stickers, stamps or a marker to use with passport
Extras:

Action:
Cut up the produce and place into the five main color groups. If possible leave one of each produce in its whole form so that your kids can see exactly what each item looks like.
Have family members try produce from each color group. As they do they will earn a (sticker, stamp or check mark) on their Real Food Rainbow Passport! At the end you can sing the Today I Ate A Rainbow song and hand out Rainbow Eaters certificates!
Larger Group Event:
Gather your friends and put on a Real Food Rainbow event together! You can share the cost of the produce or if you are putting on a community size event you could approach grocery stores or farmers to see if they would like to donate the produce.
