The Kids Cook Monday!

posted by: Kia

This week we decided to switch things up a little,  Hannah and Daddy worked on a meal together!  I think it’s so important for children to spend time in the kitchen with both parents whenever possible! I think it helps create healthy expectations that both men and women can cook!  It’s time to get rid of the old stereotype of Dads bringing home the bacon and Moms cooking it ;)

Hannah always has a blast in the kitchen with Daddy!  I tend to stick to recipes but her Daddy is all about improvising and creating unique recipes!  So Hannah is getting exposure to both cooking styles.

This week they prepared yummy Breakfast Burritos!  We are fortunate to be recipe testers for my friend Michelle Stern of What’s Cooking as she is writing a cookbook at the moment! I’ll be sure to let you all know when her book is available for purchase as it will be a great addition to any cookbook collection!!!  Since this may be in her book I think I probably need to keep the details of this recipe secret for now!

Here is Hannah having fun putting together her breakfast burrito!

We all enjoyed these delicious breakfast burritos made by Daddy and Hannah!  Since they did all of the cooking…I cleaned the kitchen!  Then we went on with our day with full tummies!
