The Kids Cook Monday!

The Kids Cook Mondays!

Every Saturday my husband and daughter head to a great store called Urban Harvest to buy our organic produce for the week!  They have these gorgeous rainbow carrots right now…purple, orange, yellow and red!  They taste even better than they look!!!  Hannah and I made rainbow roasted carrots last night… Look at that purple!!!!    Sunny yellow carrots! The Kids Cook Monday!

This week we decided to share our school lunch making!  We love creating Hannah’s lunch together, somtimes she makes it with me and sometimes with her Daddy!  We have fun putting together different combinations and since we’re the Today I Ate A Rainbow family we’re always sure to include colourful fruits and veggies!!! The Kids Cook Monday!

This weekend we made our favorite fruit snack to take to a friend’s house…Rainbow Fruit Sticks!  Between 8 of us this huge platter was gone in minutes!!!!  These are so easy to make and they’re always a hit Rainbow Fruit Sticks All you need is a collection of colourful fruit and some skewers!  This is a great recipe to work on with your kids!  They can help with washing the fruit, cutting the fruit (if they have some knife skills!) and putting the fruit on the skewers!
